Darren Unwin, director of Unwin Equine Resources, grew up in a Derbyshire farming family with an established history of husbandry and horsemanship stretching back to 1664. He went on to study physiology and plant medicine, identifying the need for an equine consultancy service in 1999 where he developed his own modern brand of equine rehabilitation therapy and natural feed support mixes based on traditional methods. With proven results and an approach that embraces the current clean sport ethos, Unwin Equine Resources specialises in achieving peak performance, speedily returning injured and ill equine athletes to competition through close collaboration with vets, therapists, farriers and trainers. His list of recent clients includes; Grand National and Gold Cup winning trainers, universities, colleges, breeders, equine charities and cavalry units with rehabilitation success in horses from all the equestrian disciplines.
